GEOMAP participated to the 3rd edition of Mapic Italy, international retail property trade show.

Mapic Italy took place on May 23rd-24th at MiCo – Milano Congressi.

Geomap obviously couldn’t miss such an import trade show and it had the opportunity to exhibit its new technologies for Facility and Asset Management.
Geomap introduced its brand new solutions, developed with its partnering company NAvVis.
Through the use of a trolley equipped with high-definition cameras and laser scans it’s possible to quickly and easily survey any type of indoor space (eg shopping malls, offices, facilities, etc..).
The outcome is similar to Google Street View for indoors that includes also point cloud.
Particularly in the field of facility management, this solution can be used to digitize facilities and buildings and managing preventive and corrective maintenance in an advanced and visual manner.

Thanks to this technology it will be possible, in fact, to remotely measure spaces, survey assets, and analyze volumes.
In the retail field, we can imagine this tool as a subsidy for large real estate groups that could offer their clients the opportunity to enter through any PC, tablet, smatphone, inside the property of their interest, ensuring a virtual tour of a realistic and interactive way to optimize the time of inspection and ensure a further and more comprehensive service to its customers.
